These windows also date back to the 19th century when an adjustment to the building act meant windows were no longer required to be flush with the external wall. A bow bay window is a self supporting projection from your home. They are usually constructed entirely of window panes on the outside to provide a panoramic view and the large internal sill creates excellent display space. Bow bay windows can be made up of either casement windows or sash windows.
